Workforce Development

The focus of our workforce development mission is to foster business, higher education, and the public sector coming together to formulate strategies and offer solutions that best meet the territory's workforce and employer needs; specifically, for the purpose of creating and sustaining a high-skill, high-wage economy in the USVI.

Our primary mechanisms for driving workforce development can be found in the expectations we establish with our tenants and strategic partners, and in our affiliate relationship with UVI. Wherever possible, our tenants and strategic partners look to satisfy their hiring needs through local sources; open positions are advertised, at a minimum, with the Virgin Islands Department of Labor. Our affiliation with UVI permits us to explore tailored solutions for talent, including intern, co-op, and other options for student employment. Supplementary educational resources offered by UVI-CELL can help basically-qualified candidates become ideal candidates for employment and career growth.

RTPark is committed to participating in and leading territorial efforts to improve learning resources, training programs and community outreach initiatives that develop a technology-aware, well-educated, literate community and competent workforce, in support of the objectives the missions of UVI and RTPark.
